Annulment of baptism for a minor?
by Tornintwo ini've seen references to baptism annulment on a few websites, does anyone know if there has ever been a successful annulment of a baptism?.
eg.
a minor claims they didn't understand a key wtbts teaching prior to baptism, is there any realistic chance of annulment?

are there really 8 million jw's?
by wannaexit inlast circuit assembly there was 700+ present and 1 baptized.. recently there was a foreign language assemble of over 500 and 1 baptized.. in the last 5-10 years i haven't been to one assembly where there has been more than a handful baptized.
at the memorial all i see are the same old faces that have been coming since the flood.. the hall complex i attend has 6 congregation and several groups-there is negative growth.
when you factor in the demographically aging folk and the many who have already passed away, i don't know where they get the 8 million.. i know that most of the growth is from the developing countries, but still i think they are fudging their numbers.

it's been almost a decade since i've been out and i don't care at this point who knows.
that being said, here's a letter that i'm mailing to bethel.

Here is the Service Department's procedure for mailed-in inquiries:
- Receive Letter and determine the main subject matter.
- Assign a clueless brother to search the Service Dept database for a pre-written letter on the subject.
- Change the name that letter was last addressed to (to Dear Brother Cornbread)
- Mail it.
Your letter will NOT be read carefully and the letter you receive from them will be totally irrelevant. This will be just another exercise in futility.

It must be a concern of all the information that is now been leaked
by joe134cd ini have put up previous posts about this in the past, but i just thought that it was worth mentioning again.
it has to be of concern to them with how quickly information is getting leaked.
hell it even surprises at just how slowly information spreads by offical means.

why the wts is selling their assets.

Warwick, What is it good for?
by freemindfade inabsolutely nothing.... has anyone dared ask what they need this place for?
think about a few things.
in bethels hay day, there was a shit ton of literature being printed, they even need a giant factory with elevators a truck could fit in.

Printing Company to Video Production Company - Insider Information
by thedepressedsoul inmany people think that wt is a publishing company and at one time that was true.
however, they are slowly fading that out into more digital publications.
we all have come to the conclusion that printed material from the wt is going way of the dinosaur.

My Opinions on whats going on in WT land - Insider Information
by thedepressedsoul infirst off, i'd like to state that i currently have "privileges" in the congregation and volunteer at bethel on and off throughout the year.
that's as much information as i will currently give about myself.. starting off, i think something big is coming in the form of lawsuits and bad pr.
they seem to be batting down the hatches in preparation for something the last few years and even more so the last few months.

What was the strangest off-the-cuff remark you ever heard from and elder or higher appointee?
by donny ini showed up for saturday morning field service and i was partnered with an elder who had transferred to our congregation in the dallas, texas area from michigan.
i told him about a recent embarrassing moment where i had played a "worldly" song during the sunday meeting due to someone replacing the cassette i had placed in the cassette player late friday night that had the correct "kingdom melody.".
out of the blue he said "about 4 years ago i was giving the sunday talk and i kept sporting a boner from time to time which was bizarre since being horny and teaching about jehovah is typically not something one associates with one another.".

During Field Circus, a sexy householder with a sexy voice opened the door and interacted with the elder I was paired with on a number of subjects. He was about 63 at the time and the house wife was about 35... After about 15 minutes I started wondering why he was taking so long... Then I looked at him and noticed he was actually falling in love (or lust)... Finally, after about 25 minutes he asked if he could return the next day to talk some more...
Anyway... Cutting to the chase... As we walked back to his car to go home, he blurted out: "wow, she's really sexy".
I was completely floored and did not say a word...
Later that week he called me to explain himself (he hadn't gotten any for over 15 years and was horny) and then apologized for his unchristian comment...
